About Skidz ~ 2.5yo male Boxer (On Trial 17/6/16)
This is the gorgeous 2.5 year old male purebred Boxer Skidz. He is your typical energetic, fun loving and affectionate boxer.
His favourite thing to do is to go on nice long walks. Skidz walks beautifully on the lead with his Halti on. He has also come from a car loving family and just LOVES car rides!
His young excitable age and nature, means that he continues to need lots of positive reinforcement to cement long term good habits. He is very motivated by food to help with this positive reinforcement.
Skidz has come into foster from a lovely family with 3 young children whose circumstances changed and regretfully could no longer keep him. He is now in a foster home with 2 young children and behaves well around them. His new home also has a cat which he finds fascinating and is learning to contain his overwhelming excitement and wish to play!
He hasn’t yet been tested in his foster home to see how he socialises with other dogs, so if he was to potentially go to a new home with other dogs, this would need to be assessed first.
The best home for Skidz would be one that can exercise him daily and understand the continued training needed for such a young boxer. (Prior boxer experience would be best). Skidz would love a home where he can hang out with an active family who will return his happy go lucky affection.
For more information or to meet Skidz, please contact his foster carer Louise by emailing loulou112@yahoo.com. Skidz is in foster care in the Newcastle area, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Skidz's adoption fee is $500 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
