Sake - Chihuahua x (on trial 18/6/16)

Sake (pronounced same as the drink) – 6 Year Old – Chihuahua x Mini Foxy. Sake is a sweet, gentle, affectionate little girl who loves nothing more than to sit on your lap and look into your eyes lovingly!

Even though she isn’t a puppy, Sake is in great shape with a soft glossy coat, bright shining eyes and a clean bill of health! Sake is active, friendly and playful (after a day or so of getting to know her new friends, people, dogs and cats alike).

Sake goes between being super playful and super cuddly – however she does need to be actively included in play and cuddles or will quietly retreat into the background.

Sake could make a great companion for someone who is at home most of the time, and wants a dog that doesn’t need much walking and who will happily cuddle up with them all day. Being a Chihuahua, Sake can get quite lonely and sad if she doesn’t receive enough attention and care.

Currently Sake lives with a Chihuahua, a Cavoodle and 3 cats – and she gets along extremely well with her mixed breed foster sisters and brother, excitedly engaging them in play. Her passion in life is just to love and be loved!

Sake loves being around people and animals and will not do well be left alone for long periods of time. Sake needs lots of human interaction or will become sad.

Sake is fully toilet trained and will do her business on command with a little gentle encouragement. Sake doesn’t bark very much but will stop if you say “stop barking”. Sake enjoys but doesn’t require frequent walking – she walks very well on lead, doesn’t pull and will stop at lights when you stop. Sake aims to please, however she has never been trained to sit, stay or come and therefore should not be expected to perform tricks or be let off lead in the park – unless fully fenced.

With a smooth, shiny, short coat that can easily be cared for with just a bath, the occasional brushing and nail clipping, Sake is very low maintenance.

Sake would be happy as an only dog given plenty of love and attention, but wouldn’t mind sharing the love with other animals in the home.
