About Nellie Kelpie
**We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at http://www.maggiesrescue.org/adoption-enquiry/. Please use this link rather than the 'find out more' button on the pet's PetRescue profile.**
Hey, I'm Nellie Kelpie and I am one of the most pretty girls you will every find. I am a stylish looking example of my breed and yet I don't have the high energy levels that younger kelpies have and at five, I love a run and also like to lounge about. I'd dearly love a person of my own. I'm used to being the centre of attention and my quiet gentle nature means I can find it a bit hard in my foster house where three other boisterous dogs romp about a lot.
Some of my favourite activities are playing, cuddling, and going on walks. I am confident, social and ready to fit into your life and make it about 100% better! Take me to the cafe, take me to the park, take me anywhere and I will make friends everywhere I go. All I ask is that you cherish me as a central part of your family, and I will give you more love than you could ever imagine.
MY IDEAL HOME: ... is with someone (or a couple of someones, or even a family!) who will give me lots of company. I have so much love to give, and I really thrive with human attention and affection.
I am a super affectionate girl myself - my foster mum says I don't have a nasty bone in my body! I do like to eat alone and would be happy with another gentle dog in the family but would also be happy snuggling up with my humans.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I am a medium to high energy girl who likes to go on daily walks. If you can't take me out every day, I would love to have a romp around with you in the backyard instead.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: In my previous life I lived with kids but my foster mum hasn't introduced me to any yet.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I like dogs! When I see a cat , I am a bit fascinated by them, so I probably would do best in a household without any resident felines.

Adoption details
We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at http://www.maggiesrescue.org/adoption-enquiry/. Please use this link rather than the 'find out more' button on the pet's PetRescue profile.
We will then organise a time for you to meet with the foster carer and the pet you are interested in adopting.
Maggie's wants this to be a good experience for you, and we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog as your situation may not meet the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of this period we will transfer the microchip to your details and the adoption is complete.
Your pet is a Maggie's Pet for Life, please consider this before adopting.
