About Lexi ED0049
Lexi is a most beautiful, intelligent and affectionate young dog. She loves to play with humans and dogs and shares her foster home with three other dogs - they all get on well and play beautifully together. Lexi is very gentle and laid back in nature and is therefore not a demanding puppy but she does so love to cuddle and snuggle.
Apart from the resident dogs, Lexi also shares her foster home with a small rescued bird that is learning to fly – if the bird lands anywhere near Lexi then Lexi gives her a wash – so gently and always under supervision. Consequently, Lexi is also very gentle with the family chooks.
Lexi is a quick learner and sits, waits for her tea and is now quite good on lead. As she is very bright it would be important for her brain to be used, so a home where she was involved in an activity that demanded her attention and provided mental stimulation would be good for her. Lexi would also settle well in a home with another canine – she has always had the company of other dogs and really enjoys the play and affection this generates.
As a Kelpie X Huntaway Lexi’s energy levels are high and she would need to go to a home where she is provided with enough regular exercise as she grows. She would also need a spacious safe area to play in so an active family home would suit. Lexi would not like to be left alone for long periods of time and certainly as a pup would get bored very quickly so a commitment to include Lexi in all family activities would keep her very happy.
Lexi would need to go to a home with good high fencing – she is actually quite good at climbing fences and so would need to be kept safe. Lexi also doesn’t like travelling in the car – she howls – so this is something that would need working on in her new home with positive training and making all journeys fun.
If you are looking for a beautiful, gentle and intelligent young dog to share your home and love with then Lexi would be the dog for you.
