About Tucker
Meet Tucker! He's an absolutely gorgeous 8 month old purebred Australian Cattle Dog. Tucker’s your typical big happy puppy who loves everyone! So far, he's responding really well to training (he can sit, do a sit stepaway, heel and drop, and he’s learning to shake hands), and we'd hope that anyone who adopts him will continue with his training, as he’s extremely smart, and really eager to please. He walks beautifully on lead and travels really well in the car. He's great with other dogs, and he's been good with cats so far, but may still need a little work where they’re concerned. He has been sleeping in a crate at night with no problems, and he’s not had any toileting accidents inside. As he’s the typical boisterous puppy, it would probably be best if he wasn’t homed somewhere that has small children… teenagers would be great. Ideally, he would go to a home where the new family are experienced with cattle dogs and their characteristics. He will come vaccinated, microchipped and desexed. This beautiful, smiley young fella won’t last long, so get in touch with Farmdogz Rescue pronto if you’d like to welcome Tucker into your family!

OUR ADOPTION PROCESS
1. You see a dog you like.
2. Fill in our online adoption form by clicking here or on our website. Be sure to include any questions you may have on our adoption form. This form does not obligate you to adopt, it simply gives us an idea of your situation and needs.

3. If your are successful, one of our volunteers will contact you to organise a meet and greet at your home and conduct a yard check at the same time.
4. Should all go to plan, you will be welcomed to start your 2 week trial period immediately. Adoption fee will be required to be paid at the beginning of the trial period.
During the 2 week trial period, should you decide that this dog is not for you, you are welcome to return the dog (the more notice the better, to ensure we have a foster carer available) and your payment will be retunded to you in full, within 3 business days of the return of the dog.

We are a volunteer run organisation, who have their own jobs during the day, we don't have someone manning our phones 24/7, therefore cannot respond to all inquiries immediately. The fastest way to have your questions answered is to include it in the application form. This will speed up your application with us, and help us communicate with you faster.
Please be patient with us, as the unpredictable nature of rescue may prevent us from clearing all enquiries regularly.
