About Chance
Chance is a very sweet little boy who craves human attention. A perfect lap dog who knows how to sit and come on command. Walks beautifully on a lead and is social with cats aswell..
Medical notes
This is Chance, he was brought into our clinic by a kind member of the public and on initial exam it was clear he was not in good condition. His coat was completely matted over and limping heavily on his left hind leg. We of course gave initial pain relief and held him under duty of care for the pound, but we also decided to do a bit more. Chance was put under general anesthetic and intravenous fluids, then clipped and freed from his matted fur only to make a sad discovery. His sore leg had sever muscle wastage and his nails had overgrown which indicated to us he had been walking around on his broken leg for at least a month. Unfortunately with this information and also the results from the xrays we also took we were unable to save his leg and it was amputated. This has not stopped him one bit and his transition went well as he had been walking on 3 legs long before he came to us. He is a young male approximately 1 year old Maltese cross Poodle. The adoption fee will cover his desex, vaccination and microchip and is available for adoption as of now! Please come down to the Wakeley Vet Clinic to meet him if you are interested and have room for one more
Adoption details
Please call the wakeley vet to organise a time to come down and meet him. If you have any other dogs it is also advised you bring them too so they can meet. Have a chat with the staff about his history and and tell us a little bit about yourself too. If chance is bonding well with you, we are happy for you to purchase him and take him home for a trial and to give us phone call updates as to how everything is going.
