About Duke
Duke was saved by Wally's from a Pound environment and has shown his foster carer that the only thing missing in his life was love and obedience training. He is currently living with 3 female dogs, a Kelpie x, Staffy and a Pomeranian and lovessss to play with the 2 bigger girls. He is also learning what life is like to live with a cat. Duke has been fine with her but does show a friendly interest at times and would obviously need slow introductions with a resident cat in his permanent home.
Duke loves kids, but being a giant, active pup, would suit a home with older children (8yrs +). He's a big snuggly baby with tonnes of love and cuddles to give.
Duke is currently being crate trained for night time sleeping and is now at the point where he feels safe, secure and content in doing so. No food aggression has been displayed while in care and is very playful with the dogs he lives with. He also shows a friendly interest in other dogs when out and about walking. Duke is toy crazy and loves to play with all sorts. He also has a love for water play and enjoys anything that involves water, even the garden hose!
Duke walks well on lead and has also mastered 'sit', 'stay' and 'shake hands'. He will wait for his food until you say 'ok' or 'good boy'. Duke is now learning the command 'leave it' and going through recall training.
This gorgeous young man would be a fantastic dog for an active family/person who has the time, committment and drive to keep up with Duke's training. He will need a good walk/run every couple of days as he does have lots of energy and a tonne of love to give.
Wyong Dog Training Club will provide 3 free dog training sessions http://wyongdogtrainingclub.org.au/ . So please be sure to utilise this awesome gift which will benefit both you and Duke.
Duke will come microchipped, desexed, vaccinated, wormed and flea treated and is available for adoption now. He is located in Chittaway Bay on the Central Coast, NSW.

Wally's Doggie Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
