“Bear”, Big Baby Boy. Melbourne

Bear’s foster carers call him their baby boy, because he’s such an adorable young dog. His dark brown eyes just beg to be loved, and there’s a sharp brain behind them too – he’s even learned to open doors in his foster home!

Bear’s surprisingly lazy for a young dog, and a 30–45 minute walk is enough to wear him out. When it’s raining, it can be hard to convince him to go out at all! Bear’s still learning about the big wide world, and will sometimes ‘freeze’ when frightened or overwhelmed. His forever family will need to work patiently on building his confidence, so he can enjoy all the world has to offer.

Bear loves a cuddle and a play, and puts his great big paws out when you walk by, tograb your attention. When he’s getting tickled, he’ll give a gentle nudge with his head or paws to encourage you to keep going. His puppyishness makes him great with children (6 or older), and he also gets on with all kinds of dogs. Curious Bear is not likely to be suitable for feline company.
