About Cody
Dear little Cody is about as sweet and social as they come. Weighing in at just over 5kg, he's only a little fellow but he has a massive heart that is filled with love to give to the family who adopt him.
Cody gets along with everyone he meets - he is social with other dogs and loves children too! He enjoys going for a walk in the park and is learning how to walk on a lead politely. We don't think he has been walked and had much training in the past, however he is so sweet and gentle natured and eager to please that he is learning very fast.
Cody hasn't been toilet trained in the past, so his foster mum is working on this and we know he'll learn in time.
There's also a cat in Cody's foster home, who he finds a little scary to be honest. He's quite timid but curious around the cat, but would never hurt it. In time, we are sure he will adjust to living with cats.
Cody loves affection and follows his foster mum from room to room. He is a laid back little fellow who enjoys a ride in the car and snuggles up to the other dogs in his foster home lovingly. We think Cody's is just about as perfect as they come!
Medical notes
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs have been fully health checked by our vets. We offer a free post-adoption health check with Greencross Vets at Chermside, Jindalee, Browns Plains or Indooroopilly hospitals. This gives you the opportunity to talk directly to the vet about any questions you may have. We provide all veterinary records for each dog, including copies of blood tests, any relevant xrays and medical notes.
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs are desexed, vaccinated and microchipped. We test all our dogs for heart worm and treat them with regular parasite prevention.
Cody was transfered into our care due to requiring urgent surgery for a unilateral perineal hernia with a deviated rectum. Surgery involved a lump removal as well as hernia repair, however he is healing well and will be ready for his new home when he has fully recovered.
Cody also had a lump on back that was removed when he was desexed. He is otherwise a healthy little boy who we do not expect to have further complications post op.
