About Poppy
Poppy is has a sweet nature and a beautiful girl, she had a very tough start to life, she was rescued as a tiny puppy at only a few weeks old and as a result she can be quite fearful and anxious at times. Because of this, Poppy would be best as an only dog as she is quite fearful and anxious around other dogs, she can get very scared at times.
Poppy sleeps inside at night and loves nothing more than to snuggle up in her bed. Poppy is quite happy to be outside during the day, she isn't a very active dog and is content with a short walk or a run.
Poppy is very wary of meeting new people, especially men, training to date has taught Poppy to sit, drop, stay and waits for her meals until she get the 'ok' on command.
The ideal home for Poppy would be with someone who has the time and patience to devote to her and help her overcome her fears.

Midcoast Dog Rescue Inc. is trying to expand its foster carer network so that we can help more dogs in need. This is a very rewarding experience and suits a variety of people. Some people, for whatever reason, are unable to make a permanent commitment to a dog, a commitment which can last for up to 15 years. Others use the fostering experience as an interim measure before committing to permanently owning a dog. If you think you could be interested in becoming a foster carer, either on a long-term or a short-term basis, and would like more information please contact Nigel on 6584 4992 or Wendy on 6584 7027.
