About Tigerlily ~ Staghound X girl (on trial 19/06/16)
Take a look at this gorgeous girl! Tigerlily is aptly named for her striking coat resembling that of a tiger! She is 8mths old and is guessed to be a staghound cross. Being that part of her breed make up would be greyhound, Tigerlily is a massive sook who loves to be your cuddle bug!
Tigerlily is very responsive to training, she only needs gentle correction to get the message through if she is doing something wrong and, best of all, she is a people pleaser so she will happily do the right thing when you show her how. She is making good progress with walking on leash and is not reactive to dogs she passes.
Tigerlily is completely housetrained and sleeps on her bed right through the night without disturbance. At dinnertime, she waits for her food to be placed down before eating. She comes when her name is called and responds to commands such as ‘sit’ ‘stay’ and ‘come’. Tigerlily travels well in the car and loves nothing more than a run at the beach, park or lake.
Tigerlily is currently being fostered with 2 other male dogs of medium and large size, which she enjoys running around the yard with and playing with. During the day, she is outside with her foster brothers and is not a barker or an escape artist. At night she enjoys coming inside the house and being part of the family. Her best attributes are her cuddly nature and that she is both child and dog friendly. Due to her growing size it is recommended that she would be best with older children just in case she accidently knocks them over.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
