About Dusty ~ Ridgeback x Mastiff x Bull Arab boy
Meet the amazing Dusty – a lovable almost 2 year old Ridgeback x Mastiff x Bull Arab boy who loves his cuddles. This lovely gentleman has a heart of gold and a sleek golden coat to match. Dusty is your typical sweet yet goofy, clumsy large breed who is very smart as well as having an eagerness to please his people.
Dusty is very obedient with his sit and wait commands. Dusty has so much potential with his learning - he would thrive with obedience classes and would respond well to dog sports like agility. The challenge, exercise and social aspect would be great for his mind, development and his fitness as he grows.
He loves to play fetch and will even bring the ball straight back! Dusty is an absolute delight to look after – when he isn't playing or just hanging out with you or his puppy pals, you can find him taking a snooze and sleeping the day away recharging.
Dusty is in foster care with multiple other dogs smaller than him but he is certainly the big baby of his foster family. It is vital that he is adopted into a home with another canine friend - he is too social to be an only dog. He enjoys meeting new pals when his foster mum takes him to the beach and he’s also learning to swim whilst there.
We would suggest he is best with older children who are confident with large dogs and won’t be intimidated by his size and zest for life. Dusty would suit many family situations as he’s quite adaptable. Dusty’s main requests to his new family is that he be included in as much of their lives as possible and to always be loved!
Dusty is an inside/outside dog and needs to be allowed inside when people are home, and to sleep inside. He loves being out in the yard playing with his friends, however due to his social qualities he is not suited to being a yard only dog – he loves inside time. He has so much love to give and his perfect place in the world is hanging out with his people.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
