About Luna ~ 15mo Kelpie girl (On Trial 11/7/16)
Luna is a beautiful 15 month old Kelpie girl. Wow does this girl have an appropriate name - this sweetie will love you to the moon and back! Not only has this girl got a lot of love to give, she is quite a looker as well, turning heads wherever she goes.
Luna is a working breed of dog and is still in the puppy stage of life so she will need ongoing training to ensure she enjoys life to the fullest. She is very high energy and would make an excellent running partner for you. This girl also just loves to play – especially chasings around the backyard and of course chase the ball (we are still working on her giving it back). Luna will sit when asked and will let you remove anything from her mouth. This is a very gentle girl, who responds very well to gentle coaxing. We are teaching Luna to sit and drop, rewarding her with toys and, of course, treats which she loves. Since she is extremely food driven, she is very easy to train.
This girl loves to run and swim and is learning to come to her foster mum when called. We are training Luna to become a better walker and not pull at the lead or jump up at people. Since she is a kelpie she can become highly stimulated with what is going on around her. There is no doubt that if training continues she will become the most loyal and well behaved dog. She is very loving and only wants your attention. She deserves a good home. As she does jump up, she would be better suited with a family with older or no children.
Luna’s loves include running, teddy bears, swimming and playing, but at the top of her list are definitely her humans. You can see the love shining for them in this girl’s soft brown eyes. This dog thrives on attention. Before bed, Luna likes to snuggle up with her humans for a quiet cuddle.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
