About Duke (Child and Dog Friendly)
My name is Duke and I was recently welcomed into the home of a Wally’s Doggie Rescue carer until I can find my forever family. I am approximately 5 months of age and I am a Wolfhound X. When I came into care from Singleton Pound, I was a little on the thin side, but I am now looking healthier. I am being fed twice a day by my foster mum.
I am currently living with 4 other dogs and 3 children. I love to play with my doggie siblings and my foster family. I love to chase the ball and chase my doggie and children siblings. I love to be with my family and my foster dad thinks I am silly as I curl up on everybody’s laps when I am tired. I LOVE a good belly rub and just to be with people. I am an inside boy and I am completely toilet trained and crate trained.
I sit on command but am still learning to drop and to walk on a lead. I travel really well in the car and go with my foster mum to pick the kids up from school most days.
I would love to be adopted into a home where I am an inside boy as that is what I have become accustomed to. I like to be with my humans and am known for laying at my foster families feet or laying in their laps. I love to go outside and chase the ball but when I am tired nothing beats laying on the lounge.
PLEASE READ THE ADOPTION PROCESS CAREFULLY AND TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF, AS PER OUTLINED QUESTIONS. This will ensure a quicker response to your email. If there are other dogs in the family we require a meet and greet to ensure that they both get along.
Duke will be ready to go to his forever home once his vet work is completed. He is booked in for desexing on May 28th.

When enquiring about Duke, please give us some indication of the type of home that he would have with you. We are interested in things such as other animals (past and present), children who may have contact with the dog, whether you own or rent your home (Permission from your landlord a MUST), what opportunities for socialisation outside the home your dog would have, how much you/someone is home and most importantly, why you feel this dog may be suitable for you.
Wally's Doggie Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
Wyong Dog Training Club will provide 3 free dog training sessions http://wyongdogtrainingclub.org.au/ . So please be sure to utilise this awesome gift which will benefit both you and Duke.
