Toby is a very gentle, obedient and loving laid back dog with a tendency to have bursts of energy and excitement. Being an older dog he loves day sleeps in the sunshine, especially on his special soft blanket, and enjoys the activity of people around him.

Toby does not like being left on his own, and has come from a home where he has always had the company of other animals such as dogs, cats and birds which he really enjoys. Toby loves to interact with his animal companions and can become quite excited and playful. Toby’s carer says that it is lovely to see his random bursts of energy in such contrast to the sleepy beautiful Toby.

Toby is very easy to walk on the lead and he especially loves walks along the beach off lead when he can sniff about and do little skips and jumps of sheer pleasure as he trots along. Toby is very friendly to other dogs, loves rides in the car and is excellent with older children as he has such a placid, gentle and quiet manner.

Toby does have a heart murmur which will progress over time and so it is estimated that he may only live for another 1 to 2 years and medication may be appropriate in the future.
