On Hold
About “Bud”, The Next Stop is Home. Brisbane
Brave Bud has endured the confusion of going from a home to a series of shelters, and has now made his way into foster care with Gumtree Greys. Having lived in a home before, Bud has taken to home life like a duck to water, and is keen to show his foster carers that this is the kind of place he belongs!
As Bud is a greyhound cross, he has more energy than a pure-bred greyhound, and needs to have a good walk every day to keep him happy and settled. He’s also very obedient compared to many of our greys, and can sit, stay, lie down, play fetch and shake hands. He loves company and will need humans who can spend plenty of time with him, or a friendly large dog to play with. Small dogs (and cats) are an absolute no-no for Bud, and his new owners will need to keep working on his socialisation.
Bud’s other special talents include his magnificent bark (he’d make a good guard dog, but due to his intelligence knows to be quiet if you say “enough”), and his jumping ability (he’ll need high, secure fences). His foster carers also love the way he gets excited when they come home – this boy is just made to be someone’s best friend. Bud has become very upset by being moved around so much, so he is most suited to a home where he has human company for the best part of the day.
After what he’s been through, we want Bud’s next home to be one that will love him forever. Will you look past the grey muzzle, and take a chance on this boy?
