Gilbert

Meet GILBERT a happy bouncy affectionate puppy who is smart, house trained, loves meeting new people and exploring the world. He’s great with people especially kids and is loving the company of the children in his foster home. They've taught him to play fetch and take him for long walks with a bit of run along the way.

Gilbert also loves playing with the other dogs, and has finished a “teen wolf” class with Positive Paws Dog Training. He's still only young and gets very excited when meeting other dogs and is still learning his doggy manners. He’s probably best not rehomed with small animals, just yet.

Gilbert was rescued from a rural pound and we think he’s a staffy mix. He’s got the lovely affectionate nature and the lounge lizard ways of a staffy but he is very smart. Gilbert is food motivated, wants to please his humans, is a quick learner and responsive to training. He is in good health with a beautiful thick brindle coat.

This boy is looking for a home where he will be an indoor/outdoor dog and made part of the family, joining in family activities. He would love to rehomed with children, or another dog - a dog who'd be patient with his puppy ways. Gilbert needs secure fencing and like all young dogs, on-going direction and guidance to become the wonderful family companion he was born to be.

Gilbert’s new family will have the option to take a couple of classes with Positive Paws – to make up for classes Gilbert missed when his foster mum got sick.
