About Sebastian ~ Labrador x, 1yo on trial 3/06/16
Sebastian is a Labrador x (border collie/German shepherd/Staffy), 12 months old, male. Since we've had him, we haven't had any trouble with him at all. We think he's perfect! He settled in quickly, learning the rules of the house and knows how to use the dog door to take himself outside to use the toilet. He isn't a jumper at all; we have 5 and 6 ft colour bond fences and he doesn't even look at them.
The neighbours tell us they don't hear him barking during the day while we are at work. He absolutely loves our little puppy. They are always playing and wrestling together. He gets on well with other dogs and has even had a few play dates and got on great with them all.
Sebastian walks well on the lead and doesn't pull at all, which is amazing! He loves a gentle stroll. He even sometimes needs encouragement to keep going. I'm pretty sure he would rather be sitting on the couch watching TV although he enjoys walking with his sister.
Sebastian loves his toys, he's favourite game is picking up a toy and letting his little sister chase after him. He enjoys playing fetch with us too.
When we have had a weekend away we used a pet sitter to come and play and feed him with no problem. We even let him have access to our house via the dog door and not a thing happen. He is a pretty chilled out dog.
Sebastian hasn't had much contact with kids as we don't have any but the ones we walk past he is fine with. He is happy to sit and receive all the attention. Not sure about cats. Our neighbour has one and Sebastian doesn't seem fazed.
I'd like to see Sebby go to a home that will include him as part of the family. He is allowed inside at ours when we are home and to sleep. He's happy to have his own bed or even a couch to sleep on.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
