About Lavina
Lavina and Lottie are looking for a home together.
Lavina was part of a large-scale rescue we undertook, when someone dumped their sick guinea pigs in a fox area and left them to die. Lavina was already pregnant at that stage, carrying her one and only baby, Lottie. Lottie was born in our care, and had a good chance at survival as she'd taken the little nutrients her mum had, so was stronger than those babies born with multiple siblings.
She had to visit our wonderful vets, as we tried to work out what was killing all the weak guinea pigs, and was the first baby to come through a new treatment plan that was successful. We've also had to treat them for mites, which took over their bodies very quickly while their immune system was weak. Lottie is very happy to have hair on her face again!
These gorgeous girls are living in the office, and have attended fetes and other public events. Lavina has gone from a skittish mum who would fly off your lap in her efforts to get away, to one that is happy for a snuggle. Lottie has grown up with being handled from the first day of her life, and what can I say, she's just too special for words.
These girls are very happy, spoilt piggies, and we'll only see them go to a home where they'll be continued to be treated as such. They are so precious, that an indoor home with mature people is a must. They deserve all the love and respect they get. I must emphasise that these girls are very special.
