About Rose (Dog/Child Friendly)
Meet Rose a gorgeous sweet young lady who has busted out of Muswellbrook Animal Shelter, by Wally's Doggie Rescue. Rose is estimated to be 6 months old and a blend of Italian Greyhound x Shar Pei x Kelpie. Rose is fresh into rescue and is such a loving little dog. Rose is described by her foster Mum as having the Shar Pei ears, slim body of a Italian Greyhound (whippet) and brains of a Kelpie.
Rose has gone into foster care, in a family environment with children, 7 other dogs (Small to medium), 2x cats and 3x poultry. Rose is unsure of the cats and chickens, but does like to chase and round up the chickens. If the cats stand their ground Rose will walk away. Rose is FULLY inside TOILET trained and CRATE trained.
Rose has commence obedience training and is a star student! Rose can now walk beside you on a lead, knows the commands of SIT, DROP, SPIN and DANCE (on her back legs) and even better than this Rose also knows SIGN LANGUAGE for all these commands! Rose has great RECALL as well. Rose does jump up if she wants attention, and is excited, this is being addressed daily in foster care and Rose is learning quickly that jumping won't give her the attention she so desires. Rose is naturally a good guard dog as well, and will bark if a stranger is at the door, or an unfamiliar sound is heard.
Rose is best described as the ultimate velcro dog, she does not leave your side and for this reason has been very easy to train. Rose wants nothing more than, love and devotion by her foster family. Rose has shown no destructive behaviour in foster care as well. Ideally Rose would love to be TRADIE'S dog. She travels well in the car and on the back of the ute, and does not get motion car sickness.
Rose is being fed twice a day with a premium Royal Canin puppy biscuits and a raw diet of an evening. Rose came into care very underweight and was showing some food aggression towards the other dogs. Rose has learnt that food isin't going to run out and this behaviour is not necessary. Rose will happily share her bowl with 7 other dogs now.
Rose would be adopted into a family environment with another dog or someone who can manage her MEDIUM to HIGH level needs and continue with her formal training and provide guidance to bring out the wonderful dog, that she can be. Rose will require 6 foot fencing to keep her safe. Rose is a BIG LICKER and will smother you with kisses constantly.
PLEASE READ THE ADOPTION PROCESS CAREFULLY AND TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF, AS PER OUTLINED QUESTIONS. This will ensure a quicker response to your email. If there are other dogs in the family we require a meet and greet to ensure that they both get along.
Rose has had all vet work completed and is now ready for her new forever home. You can call Amanda on 0411699213 or email (will respond that day).

Adoption details
When enquiring about Rose, please give us some indication of the type of home that she would have with you. We are interested in things such as other animals (past and present), children who may have contact with the dog, whether you own or rent your home (Permission from your landlord a MUST), what opportunities for socialisation outside the home your dog would have, how much you/someone is home and most importantly, why you feel this dog may be suitable for you.
Wally's Doggie Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
Wyong Dog Training Club will provide 3 free dog training sessions http://wyongdogtrainingclub.org.au/ . So please be sure to utilise this awesome gift which will benefit both you and Rose.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
