About Cleo
Cleo and Tony were dumped outside a vet clinic. These guys made their way to our shelter, and have been entrancing us for several weeks. Tony was desexed so that he wouldn't have to part from Cleo, and Cleo has completed her gestation period so we can ensure you she is not pregnant. These ratties are in very good health, although Cleo is a bit stunted and doesn't seem able to grow. She'll probably always stay a small girl, whereas Tony has filled out and become a big, beefy boy.
These rats are something special. We've had numerous rat rescues over the years, and it wouldn't be fair to say these guys are the best rats ever (we've had quite a few characters), but I will admit I've never been so tempted to have foster failures. It's going to break my heart to see these guys adopted, so it will need to be the very best home on the planet.
Cleo is a super outgoing girl, who isn't as crazy as a lot of female rats out there. She loves to run on her wheel every evening, and needs to pick up her food and run with it (she runs with food more often than actually eating it). Walk past her massive rat mansion and she's there clambering for you attention. Open her door and she's on your shoulder helping you with household tasks before you can blink. Tony was quite shy when he arrived, but now he is equally outgoing and will run onto your hand at every opportunity. They are just amazing personalities and so sweet and loving. I reiterate, it has to be a bloody good home before I let them walk out of this shelter.
Cleo (female) left in photos, Tony (desexed male) right in photos are looking for a home together only.
