Seraphina is a smart, sociable girl who thrives on attention and training. She picks up on cues and signals very quickly, and is very responsive to facial expressions. Being deaf, she is not able to be let off lead, and does require some redirection when being over enthusiastic (as large breed pups tend to be), but is fantastic with this and is learning how to moderate herself.
Phina is a very affectionate girl, and will need a canine companion who either matches this level of enthusiasm, or who is tolerant of it. She is fine with being left alone for short periods of time, but a well rounded canine companion is a must for this girl. She is coming along well with her toilet training, and will signal to let you know she needs to go outside.
Seraphina will require a new owner who is either experienced with deaf dogs, or who is willing to learn quickly! Puppy school and training is a must with this girl, as she is a very intelligent girl and will get in to mischief if she is not stimulated.
Medical notes
Seraphina is DEAF so will need to go to a very patient & understanding home. Phina is already picking up basic hand signals.

As we rely on our foster carers (who are all volunteers and have families, jobs and pets of their own) to help with adoptions it may take a couple of days to organise for you to meet a dog once you have submitted your adoption application. We appreciate your understanding and patience with us while we work with you to ensure the perfect match for your family.
Safe Haven Animal Rescue Inc have a 10 day trial/settling period, if for any reason the pet needs to be returned, we will happily take them back into our care once a foster home is found and the adoption fee minus $50 (admin fee) will be returned via bank transfer within 5 working days. If the pet is returned after the trial period there will be no refund made.
**Please note that all paperwork including the Microchip Change of owner form will be handed over after the 10 day trial period.**
Harvey Dog Training supports SHARI and has kindly offered to provide our adopted animals 30% off training/obedience classes. If you are keen to enrol your new puppy/dog please mention this in your email to us!
