About Ace
It is pretty obvious Ace is a stunning coloured Kelpie. That's always a great attraction but he needs someone much more committed to him than someone who wants to show him off because he is handsome.
Ace is a young boy with very basic obidience. He is gentle but does jump up so he needs someone committed to ongoing obidience training. He will be best place in a family with older confident children. Our preference will be toward someone who has had a kelpie before and who has been involved in agility, obidience or other related activities.
He has a sweet nature, which is a bonus, he simply needs work around basic manners. He is great with cats, and other dogs, entering care and staying staying with 1 male and 4 females. There were no direct issues in the crowded house, and while that is a bonus, Ace will preferably go to an experienced home as the only dog of the house to ensure he gets the necessary time and training he needs to become the best companion possible.

OUR ADOPTION PROCESS
1. You see a dog you like.
2. Fill in our online adoption form by clicking here or on our website. Be sure to include any questions you may have on our adoption form. This form does not obligate you to adopt, it simply gives us an idea of your situation and needs.

3. If your are successful, one of our volunteers will contact you to organise a meet and greet at your home and conduct a yard check at the same time.
4. Should all go to plan, you will be welcomed to start your 2 week trial period immediately. Adoption fee will be required to be paid at the beginning of the trial period.
During the 2 week trial period, should you decide that this dog is not for you, you are welcome to return the dog (the more notice the better, to ensure we have a foster carer available) and your payment will be retunded to you in full, within 3 business days of the return of the dog.

We are a volunteer run organisation, who have their own jobs during the day, we don't have someone manning our phones 24/7, therefore cannot respond to all inquiries immediately. The fastest way to have your questions answered is to include it in the application form. This will speed up your application with us, and help us communicate with you faster.
Please be patient with us, as the unpredictable nature of rescue may prevent us from clearing all enquiries regularly.
