About Ghost
Ghost is one of our seven special huskies that were rescued from an intensive puppy mill breeding farm in country NSW. She was kept in appalling conditions, extremely malnourished and without human contact. Despite her young age it is likely she has had many litters in her lifetime.
Ghost is the first of the seven to be available for adoption and has progressed quickly during her time in foster care.
Originally fearful of all people Ghost has started to seek interaction with her foster carer and has also shown to cope well with a change of home.
Whilst there is still a way for Ghost to go yet before she enjoys the ‘normalities’ of doggy life, in the right home she will be able to continue her progress whilst she settles into her furever home.
Ghost will need a home with another dog for company and she gets on well with other dogs, particularly playful huskies. She will need a family that can take things slow with her and expose her to new environments gradually. She has only just started to walk on lead and will still need some practise, she is allowing some people to pat her whilst on leash.
Once Ghost learns to trust and gains confidence it is likely she will start to push boundaries to see what she can get away with. Her new home will need to be ready to guide her towards desired behaviours through training, once she is ready.
Ghost's new family will need a sound understanding of Siberian Husky breed tendancies.
Ghost will need a home with 6ft secure fencing to keep her safe and sound.
