Snickers

Snickers is a purebred Australian miniature pig - he was adopted from a breeder as a companion for another mini pig but they didn't get along so he was handed over to CLAWS N PAWS RESCUE.
Snickers is a desexed male piglet - he is very smart and affectionate - he loves a good head scratch and is very curious and inquisitive.
Mini pigs are generally smarter than dogs and can be trained to walk on a lead, be house trained and love to be a part of family. They generally integrate well with other pets and love company.
Snickers is food obsessed and squeals with delight when its time to eat. Pigs need a shallow bathing area as they are not able to cool down (a clam shell dug into the ground works well) and need fresh water daily. He is an outside piglet at the moment and sleeps in a covered/insulated area in a dog bed filled with straw. He would be just as happy inside I'm sure if the right family came along for him!
Pigs need a good sized yard with fresh grass and lots of social interaction - they can be well trained given the time and many pig owners say they make the VERY best pets.
Snickers needs interaction with new things to build his confidence- I think he is a bit highly strung but this is the norm for mini pigs apparently! The way to his heart is something yummy then you have made a new friend!
