About Peggy
**We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at http://www.maggiesrescue.org/adoption-enquiry/. Please use this link rather than the 'find out more' button on the pet's PetRescue profile.**
Peggy is a goofy, playful clown of a girl. She is super-affectionate and wants to be inside on your lap at all times, or as near to it as possible!
Peggy spends a lot of her day snoozing, and when she isn't in the land of nod, she's playing happily with a ball or toy.
Turns out Peggy has quite afew tricks up her sleeve, such as shaking paws, and sitting very cleverly on seats (as you can see in the pic). She has definitely been a very loved dog at some point in her life.
MY IDEAL HOME: I would like to be your only dog so I can get all your attention. I am an older girl, so I'd like a warm, cosy bed inside the house please.
I love my food and would appreciate a bone or some treats now and then. Playful and affectionate, I will keep you company all day. As I am so beautiful, someone who cares about maintaining my coat and grooming me is a must! Happily, I love baths and being brushed and pampered.
I also need a yard to explore and play in - it doesn't have to be big though.
I am a little bit nervous about my head being touched, as I have had sore ears in the past (haematomas, which have recently had surgery). I need someone patient and calm who is sensitive to my sore parts and doesn't touch them unnecessarily.
If there are any Old English Sheepdog lovers out there who are looking for an older dog, I would love to meet you!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I am a low to medium energy girl. I am not very interested in long walks. I like a brief walk, and then a leisurely play in the backyard with my toys.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I am a little bit scared of children and would suit a mature and quiet household with someone who can give me their undivided attention. I would suit an older retired couple, a couple who work from home, or a single person who wants me as a pal. I am ready to be adored by everyone and anyone, and I don't mind visitors either.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I get along with some dogs, but I can get a little jealous because I want all the attention. Think of me as a giant lapdog who just wants to hog you and all the love you can give me.

Adoption details
We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at http://www.maggiesrescue.org/adoption-enquiry/. Please use this link rather than the 'find out more' button on the pet's PetRescue profile.
We will then organise a time for you to meet with the foster carer and the pet you are interested in adopting.
Maggie's wants this to be a good experience for you, and we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog as your situation may not meet the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of this period we will transfer the microchip to your details and the adoption is complete.
Your pet is a Maggie's Pet for Life, please consider this before adopting.
