About Shyla & Kobi ~ 6yo Collie X Husky adopted 13/08/16
Shyla and Kobi are 6 year old Collie x Husky siblings. This brother and sister team are like peas in a pod - always hanging out together.
Shyla is a girly girl with a black, white and tan face and Kobi is a beautiful boy with a black and white face. When inside the house, Shyla is happy watching her brother Kobi fetch the furry or squeaky toys. But Shyla is the champion of fetching the tennis ball in the back yard.
They have been well cared for and are very obedient – they both sit, stay, roll over and don't eat until told to do so. Shyla and Kobi are inside with us whenever they want to be, happy to curl up on the lounge and watch TV. They are both toilet trained and they sleep well inside.
Shyla and Kobi need a forever home that has a good size yard to run around in a good walks each day. They enjoy having the freedom to run, but have no traffic sense though we are trying to train them everyday.
They are both very affectionate. They get excited around other dogs we meet, but show no aggression. They would be suitable with older children, but neither of them would be suitable with cats or small animals.
These 2 loveable dogs were surrendered regretfully to DRN straight to our foster carer’s home by the young owners who, due to a change in circumstances, were unable to give them the attention they needed.
Shyla and Kobi are adorable dogs and we hope they find an amazing forever home where they can be together forever.
For more information or to meet Shyla and Kobi, please contact their foster carer Shirley via email at shipups54@gmail.com. Shyla and Kobi are in foster care in Lemon Tree Passage, NSW (Port Stephens, north of Newcastle) and are available for adoption interstate.
Shyla and Kobi's adoption fee is $400 for both of them which includes their desexing, vaccination, treatment for fleas and worms, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
