About Lenny
Dear little Lenny came to us from a shelter, and he is such a beautiful old soul. Lenny loves to snuggle and he will quite literally cuddle up to anyone. He lives in a foster home with several other dogs, including one who doesn't like to share her bed with anyone - yet, she will allow Lenny into her bed to snuggle because this dear old boy seems to have the ability to charm everyone.
Lenny lives in a household with children, and he is gentle and sweet with them. Due to his old age, he probably would prefer a household without noisy toddlers, however he would never hurt a child.
Lenny loves to spend his days sleeping, and there is nothing he enjoys more then a good ear scratch. Whilst Lenny happily co-exists with a busy household of dogs (quite a few actually!) he would also be happy as an only dog - he is laid back and just goes with the flow.
Lenny's foster home does not include cats so we are not sure how he would go in a home with cats. He is very sweet natured so we would not expect him to be aggressive.
Lenny is a beautiful and loving natured dog who would make the perfect addition to any family.
Medical notes
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs have been fully health checked by our vets. We offer a free post-adoption health check with Greencross Vets at Chermside, Jindalee, Browns Plains or Indooroopilly hospitals. This gives you the opportunity to talk directly to the vet about any questions you may have. We provide all veterinary records for each dog, including copies of blood tests, any relevant xrays and medical notes.
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs are desexed, vaccinated and microchipped. We test all our dogs for heart worm and treat them with regular parasite prevention.
Lenny came to CRQ with Kennel Cough, so he has been in quarantine for several weeks. He spent his first few days in hospital with severe gastro, however he has made a full recovery and is doing well in foster care.
Lenny has a condition called Luxating Patellas (which means his kneecaps dislocate), which is common in chihuahuas. Our vets will decide whether he needs to have surgery, or whether his age will mean that surgery is not fair on him. If Lenny requires surgery, this will be done before he is adopted.
