About Banjo ~ On Trial 10/9/16
Banjo is a cute and friendly 2 year old Hound x boy . He is knee height in size so on the small side of medium (approximately 20kg) - he has a long curled tail that he likes to wag . He loves people - he just wants to love you and be loved in return.
Banjo is a very playful and happy go lucky boy. He is currently in a kennel environment where he can play with dogs all day so he enjoys a good run around with the other dogs. He prefers dogs who aren't full on or in his face when playing so he can be a little dog selective at times. He would suit a home as an only dog or with a friendly, adult female dog whom he can play with and follow as a role model. He requires further lead training when out walking as he can get excited when meeting other dogs, so he requires a confident owner who will keep on top of his training. Banjo is great with dogs he knows well .
Banjo knows how to sit and shake for his dinner and can also give you a high five. He is very smart and responds well to training.
Banjo had a rough start to life, but he has learnt to trust people again and he will happily meet new people with a friendly tail wag and playfulness. He really is a gentle soul and will make an incredible addition to your family. He would be best suited to a home with someone who can walk him daily, and one where he is not left alone all day long . He enjoys a good mix of active time as well as chill out time - he is a social boy and thrives with human companionship. He would suit a family with older kids or teenagers who are used to dogs.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
