About Phoebe
If you looking for a dog to cuddle on the lounge with, maybe even to hide under your desk at work then Phoebe will certainly be the right match for you. Phoebe would brighten the days of someone olderor lonely and retired.
Even better if you are a Tradie or have the opportunity to drive around most of the day and are looking for that perfect companion Phoebe would be well suited.
Phoebe travels well in the car, knows her basic sit commands and will shake hands, and walks fine on a lead. Her quite demeanour makes her very easy to manage and her recall is excellent. She would never be far from you anyway.
Phoebe is approximately 3 years old handed over to a country pound no longer wanted by her original family. She is fantastic with humans showing a really loving nature, but is very selective about which dog she lets become her friend.
She would be best off as a the only dog in the family but is currently sharing a house with 4 others, but only dislikes one. Hard to know why but then let's remind ourselves we don't like everyone we meet either.
Phoebe would flourish a home where her human is around most of the time, she suffers from separation anxiety and will cry and make a fuss if she feels abandoned. This is why she would be well suited to a life of couch comfort with her mum or dad sitting near reading the paper.

OUR ADOPTION PROCESS
1. You see a dog you like.
2. Fill in our online adoption form by clicking here or on our website. Be sure to include any questions you may have on our adoption form. This form does not obligate you to adopt, it simply gives us an idea of your situation and needs.

3. If your are successful, one of our volunteers will contact you to organise a meet and greet at your home and conduct a yard check at the same time.
4. Should all go to plan, you will be welcomed to start your 2 week trial period immediately. Adoption fee will be required to be paid at the beginning of the trial period.
During the 2 week trial period, should you decide that this dog is not for you, you are welcome to return the dog (the more notice the better, to ensure we have a foster carer available) and your payment will be retunded to you in full, within 3 business days of the return of the dog.

We are a volunteer run organisation, who have their own jobs during the day, we don't have someone manning our phones 24/7, therefore cannot respond to all inquiries immediately. The fastest way to have your questions answered is to include it in the application form. This will speed up your application with us, and help us communicate with you faster.
Please be patient with us, as the unpredictable nature of rescue may prevent us from clearing all enquiries regularly.
