About Tom **2nd Chance Cat Rescue**
Tom is a new cat to the rescue and he is a very smoochy boy. He is a real Ginger Love Heart, he will wriggle into your heart when you meet him. He likes people, including children.
He has probably been living on the streets for a while and just turned up at our foster carer's doorstep. She put a bed out for him and started to feed him, and even though her dogs don't like him he persisted that this was the right place to stay.
He has now come to our founders house and is enjoying being the cat he should have always been.
We have had him tested for FIV and the test shows up positive. This could mean that he has been vaccinated for the Feline Aid Virus or that he has contracted it while fending for himself. He has no symptoms and can still live a long healthy life.
Tom would be the ideal apartment cat. It does not mean that he needs to miss out on feline company. We would advice to have your other cats vaccinated for FIV.
Please read our Medical note.
Like humans, cats can also carry FIV without having AIDS.
Cats with FIV can live long, healthy and happy lives. Which means they can most. certainly shower you with snuggles and enrich your life with adorable antics.
