About Penny ~ Bull Arab (on trial 3/07/16)
Meet Penny – Penny is a 6 year old Bull Arab. She is a real sweetheart who loves to be with you. Penny is a gentle girl and loves a good belly rub!
Penny loves the car and willingly gets in, sits and mostly sleeps while we drive to our destination. Taking her places is a breeze. We took her to the markets and she was beautifully behaved in the car and at the markets. Nothing fazed her: Kids, adults, the crush in some areas, other dogs of all sizes including ones that barked at her. She lapped up all attention offered and had a great time. If you're looking for a social girl you can take anywhere then Penny is for you.
Penny is very obedient and responds well to her name and directions. She knows how to sit, lie down, stop, stay, up and down. We are currently learning to 'roll over'. Penny responds well to treat training. She is house trained and happy to lay around all day.
Penny is ok to be left alone during the day either inside or outside. She is currently an inside/outside dog. She sleeps inside at night.
Penny lives with a 5 year old and is good with kids. However, due to her size and strength I recommend older children or children used to large dogs.
Penny is more of the laid back relaxing type when it comes to playing. She will occasionally do fast sprints around the yard with you. She is more interested in belly rubs and attention then playing fetch. Her favourite games are food puzzles. Penny loves her walks and walks well with the lead. She walks at a moderate pace and does not pull on the lead.
Penny has been around other dogs and has shown no signs of having any issues with them. She has not been tested with cats or pocket pets.
Since being in care this quiet girl has not barked once. She ignores other dogs barking in the neighbourhood and greets visitors with a friendly wag of the tail.
Penny will be your best mate and be by your side as much as she can. She would suit a family that are home a fair bit as she is an extremely loving and loyal girl who loves having you around. She adores her humans and wants to be with them.
For more information or to meet Penny please contact Ann 0409661875 (preferred) or email pippens_mum@hotmail.com. Penny is in foster care in the Elermore Vale. Lake Macquarie, NSW (south of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
