Caramel

A loving little lapdog who adores her daily stroll. When she decides she has had enough walking she begs to be picked up, just like a baby. Oh well, I guess at heart she is also still a pup as she delights her two geriatric carers as she races around the garden to burn any excess energy and to show off! Her toileting habits have become predictable. Early in the morning out she goes until she does everything... after a meal she will do her deposit immediately so you can feed her outside, leave her there and she will oblige. During the day she is marched outside regularly and is improving all the time (she seems to have long range tanks!). She sleeps in her oversized crate next to my bed - when I go to bed she simply strolls in, settles and goes off until she literally has to be dragged out of bed to go to do the necessary in the morning. I keep puppy pads in the house just in case and she will use them if I go out or I forget to take her out into the garden. She arrived at my place painfully thin and with a broken leg caused by a naughty staffy. It has been a long healing process and it would be good to prevent her from jumping off chairs for a bit. We have had the all clear from the vet to find a home for her and she is healed, but sometimes favours the leg as it did not set perfectly straight. She settled very quickly into my little pack of a toy poodle and shihtzu and it would be great if her adoptive family had another tiny dog as company for her. My requirement is that the adopter needs to be at home most of the time, is prepared to give Caramel 24/7 affection (just as we do) except when she snoozes... You will need to have a well fenced, secure home and be prepared to spend time training her even though she responds when I call her or tell her to stop barking. Please remember that sometimes the first person is just right for my fosters, and sometimes we will meet many potential families (one foster took a year and many meetings to find the exact placement, while the little toy poodle from a puppy farm that I now have could not be rehomed at all because she is so frightened). So please bear with me as I want this little girl to have a long happy life with the person both she and I will choose. :-)
