About Geordie
Hi I'm Geordie
Please read my whole profile before applying as I do have a few issues that my humans can find annoying even though I think I'm pretty special at only 2 1/2 years old.
I know from the moment you meet me and look into my deep brown eyes you will fall instantly in love and want to take me home. I am pretty self-sufficient and can handle being left alone all day. I will just love greeting you with a soft toy in my mouth when you arrive home. I love soft toys, they can keep me amused for hours.
I had a bit of a rough start to life as my previous humans thought I would make a great guard dog but it was not meant to be. They realised I was a big softie at heart and wouldn't hurt a fly, so off to rescue I went. Sometimes I still run up and down the fence but I don't think I'm supposed to do this anymore as, every time I do, my owner calls me back.
I was adopted very quickly and found a really loving home with an older female shepherd who sadly passed away 6 months ago leaving me on my own.
I love female dogs big and small and play with them nicely. I walk well with my harness on until I see another dog, then I can't get there fast enough! This has made my owner stumble due to my strength; I don't mean to do this I'm just easily distracted and very excitable. I go to off-leash areas, which I love, but when I'm called I don't always come back straight away as there are so many dogs to play with.
At night I can sleep in my crate quietly but every now and again I'm allowed to sleep on the bed. I don't ever wake up to go to the toilet as I'm quite happy to wait until morning. I'm good with the doggy door but prefer, whilst you’re out, to stay outside to see what's going on and wait for your return.
I've been around cats and don't have a problem with them but, if they run, I want to chase them! I don't hurt them, I just want to have some fun.
My current owner has been going through his own fair share of difficulties lately and has had to sell his home so now I have nowhere to go. He only wants the very best for me and wants me to go to the best possible forever home. In return I will reward you with loyalty and love and be your best friend forever.
Regards Geordie
