About Koda ~ adorable cattle x mastiff girl
Koda is a 4 year old, large, female, Mastiff x Cattle Dog cross, looking for a forever home. If you love big, friendly, loyal dogs, then Koda is your girl. She loves human company and is dreaming of a home where she is part of the family.
Koda loves getting a pat and is very gentle. We let her inside with us when we are home and she is outside during the day when at work. She currently sleeps on her bed inside with access to outside.
Koda is very calm and well behaved. She can sit for treats and responds very well to positive reinforcement training. She travels well in the car just rests quietly. Koda will bark at strange noises at the fence to let you know someone is there but is not a nuisance barker.
She is fine to live with another dog, preferably a younger doggy her size or a bit smaller. She's not suitable to live with cats.
Koda is mostly white with tan markings and lots of random tan/black patches, including a patch over her right eye. She weighs approx 40kg. Her shoulders are about 40cm from the ground. She was born on 29/12/2013.
Koda’s forever home will require a nice yard, secure fencing (minimum 6ft) and adequate shelter. She is very people oriented and needs a home where she gets plenty of people time inside, toys, and daily walks to stretch those long legs.
For more information or to meet Koda, please contact her foster carer Jane on 0408 632 257. Koda is in foster care in Tweed Heads, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Koda's adoption fee is only $300 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
