About Pebbles
Old age comes to us all. In the pound system I have seen cats surrendered when their elderly owner passes away or enters aged care. Overall it's just such a sad situation for the elderly person and their beloved pet which has for years been a loyal companion to someone who would have lived alone if not for them.
While at the vet recently a lady asked could she place a flyer up in the waiting room. We spoke about the situation.
Pebbles is 12 years young and has been a friend to a senior lady who has now entered aged care and as in many of the facilities for the aged pets are not part of the life style and must be left behind.
Pebbles poster tells me that she is well mannered house trained and most importantly she has a lovely caring nature. Pebbles is very relaxed & well behaved in good health microchipped & desexed.
Pebbles wants everyone to know that she would be very grateful to find a loving home where she can be safe inside and her first priority is to give her new parent/s lots of love.
If you can give Pebbles a home for her twilight years then please call Jeanette on 0401 148 076. Pebbles due to always being the only animal does not cope with other cats so can only live in a one cat/animal home.
Adoption details
STUFF YOU NEED TO KNOW: I will come desexed, vaccinated (1st F3) and microchipped and will have up to date worm and flea treatments. I will need to be lifetime registered which is a $52 once off fee. ($21.00 for eligible pensioners) This is compulsory in NSW.
ADOPTING ME: You must be able to provide me with a loving long term and safe home. I would be fine in an apartment as long as I didn't have free run of the balcony if it wasn't fully enclosed. Please ensure your house or apartment can contain a cat inside (ie fly screens etc).
Please remember that I have thought seriously about taking you on and when you take me home, I am committing to you for life. So, I hope you have thought seriously about this and are likewise planning on committing to me.
ABOUT YOU: Given you know all about me, my foster parents would like to know something about who my new parents are going to be. They have rescued me from death row and have given me a lot of care and love. I know they love me and therefore want the best for me.
ABOUT US: AWL Western Suburbs branch wants to promote adoptions of cats from Blacktown Pound and to try to re-home them either directly from the pound or from our foster carers. If you would like to help us, please feel free to contact us and find out how you may assist, including being a foster parent.
All adoptions will require a Preadoption application form completed and returned prior to a meet & greet with our cats. Forms will be emailed to you after the initial phone enquiry or email for a form now.
