About Casper ~ Blue Fawn Chihuahua (On trial 7/5/15)
Hello my name is Casper. I came into the care of my foster mum because no one claimed me from the pound where I was handed in as a stray. I am now looking for my forever home with someone who will love me.
I am a 7 year old, male Blue Fawn Chihuahua happily living with three other small doggy friends and a cat. I am an easy going guy but I can be a little protective of my food so my foster mum supervisors us while we are eating.
During the day I mainly like to be inside with my foster mum however I do also like to spend some time outside exploring the back yard and lying on my doggie bed. I’m not too fussed on going for walks on a lead because my little legs get too tired.
At night I love to snuggle on the lounge with my foster family. When I go to bed I am very well behaved so my foster mum allows me to sleep on her bed where I stay all night.
I love humans so I would make a perfect buddy for someone who is home most of the day and who would love to spend time with me.
If you think this could be you, please contact my foster mum because I would like to meet you.
Note from foster mum Karen…. Hi there, Casper is a happy, gorgeous little man with a wonderful personality. He is very easy to look after and he is fully house trained. Being just over three kilos he will need a secure back yard with no gaps in the fencing. Casper loves people but he can initially be a little timid until he warms to you. I feel he would be best suited to a forever home with a mature couple or person.
If you think you are a perfect match for Casper or would like some further information, please contact Karen either by phone 0419229201 or email ksluyter@exemail.com.au
Casper is in foster care at Newcastle, 2281, NSW. He is not available for adoption interstate.
Casper’s adoption fee is $200 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
