About Chisel ~ Staffy x (on trial 24/08/16)
Introducing Chisel! He is a beautiful and energetic 11 month old Staffy x This guy is full of beans and curiosity! He just loves to explore, go for walks, play fetch/tug and just be close to his humans.
He is really still a puppy, and judging by the size of his paws he still has a bit of growing to do! He loves other dogs - his foster carer has a young Staffy and they have a great time wrestling and playing together.
Chisel is responding well to training, and is learning how to sit, wait for his food, and lie down. He is also getting the hang of walking without pulling. He would suit an active household, where he gets the time and attention he deserves and preferably with another dog to keep him company when his owners go out, as he doesn't like being alone. Dog training classes would be ideal for him. Chisel will need a secure yard with minimum six foot fences.
He has a very gentle and loving nature - but he gets very excited and is a bit clumsy still, so should be supervised around young children until he grows up a little.
Everyone who meets this guy falls in love with him!
Chisel is in foster care in Thornton, NSW (about 25 mins drive from Newcastle CBD) and is available for interstate adoption. For more information please contact his carer Annette on 0418 321 663 or by email at annetteoregan@hotmail.com.
Chisel's adoption fee is $350 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and intestinal worms, is microchipped and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
