About Amie (Dog/Cat/Child Friendly)
Meet Amie a gorgeous sweet young lady who was a private surrender to Wally's Doggie Rescue. Amie is fresh into rescue and is a shy little thing at first meet, but all Amie wants is LOVE. Amie's Mother is a cream Irish Wolfhound x Labrador and Amie's Father a brindle English Staffordshire lovely natured and well behaved dogs.
Amie has gone into foster care, in a family environment with children, other dogs, cats and poultry. Amie is unsure of the resident foster chickens, but is now fine with the cats. I would describe Amie as Wolfhound laid back nature and easily trainable like the labrador. Amie is eager to please and wants to learn.
Amie although has had no formal training, is picking up training very quickly with her foster host dogs. Amie will happily take herself off to bed of an evening and sleep through the night, Amie is FULLY crate trained and FULLY toilet trained inside the home, and is happily taking herself outside with our other dogs to toilet. Amie after only a week in care, is learning SIT, and DROP and can WALK on a lead, but is still the ultimate lounge lizard dog! She follows around her humans and is so quiet and a pleasant to foster. Amie has shown no destructive behaviour in foster care as well.
Amie is being fed twice a day with a premium puppy biscuits and a raw diet. If there are other dogs in the family we require a meet and greet to ensure that they both get along.
Amie ideally would be adopted into a family environment with another dog or someone home most of the time. Amie is in the prime of puppy stage and will require guidance, and formal obedience training. She will require time and effort to bring out the wonderful dog, that she can be.
PLEASE READ THE ADOPTION PROCESS CAREFULLY AND TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF, AS PER OUTLINED QUESTIONS. This will ensure a quicker response to your email.
Amie has had all vetwork completed and is now ready for her new forever home. You can call Amanda on 0411699213 or email (will respond that day).

When enquiring about Amie, please give us some indication of the type of home that she would have with you. We are interested in things such as other animals (past and present), children who may have contact with the dog, whether you own or rent your home (Permission from your landlord a MUST), what opportunities for socialisation outside the home your dog would have, how much you/someone is home and most importantly, why you feel this dog may be suitable for you.
Wally's Doggie Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
Wyong Dog Training Club will provide 3 free dog training sessions http://wyongdogtrainingclub.org.au/ . So please be sure to utilise this awesome gift which will benefit both you and Amie.
