About Cissy
CISSY the $6000 dog!
She was attacked by a group of dogs and rushed by a rescuer to a vet in a remote area in the middle of the night on a weekend.
Emergency surgery saved Cissy and she spent 2 weeks at the vet. The owners could not afford the bill of over $6000 so the rescuer took out a loan which is still being paid off.
Cissy could not go back to her original home because of the risk of being attacked again, so it was decided to find her a new home.
This is why we are asking $750 for Cissy.
Surprisingly Cissy seems to be ok with other dogs of various sizes and is now in very good health.
Cissy is a little cautious with people to begin with but quite quickly comes and loves to sneak on to the sofa with her foster carer.
We don't think she has had contact with cats but possibly with children.
Cissy has a fluffy coat which just needs to be regularly brushed and washed so she does not have a high maintenance coat.
We have no idea who her parents were or what breed she is. This applies to all the dogs we re home as our vet understands as she volunteers in the remote area where they come from.
Cissy is in foster care in the eastern suburbs of sydney.
