About Sandy (Child/Dog Friendly)
Sandy is my name, and I'm a gorgeous Irish Wolfhound mix, surrendered into Wally's care along with my siblings as an unwanted litter. My mum is an Irish Wolfound x and medium in size, dad is a medium mix breed (parent's pictured).
I'm currently in foster care with my sister Rain, 2 host dogs and of course my foster mum and dad. They all adore me and want to find me the best home ever! I don't have any children in my foster home but have been visited by some little people and they love to cuddle and play with me.
My foster mum and dad are making sure I get lots of doggie socialisation and I'm currently being crate trained. They say that I'm a fast learner so I'm going to be easily trained when you want to teach me new and exciting things. I'm very food motivated and have already learnt to sit before getting my meals. I will be a medium to high energy dog when fully grown and will need an active family/person to keep my mind busy.
Being a young pup, I'm being introduced to Kong's, bones to chew on and some really cool toys that I love to play and share with my sister. As I'm sure you know, us pups do love to chew, so will need a family who has the patience and committment of getting me through this stage and most importantly, continuing my training so that I grow up to be a sociable and well mannered girl.
Once my puppy vaccinations are complete, I would love to socialise and play with other dogs as this is important from a very young age. I would love to have a companion doggie in my new home but if I'm an only dog, that's ok too, as long as I had regular doggie play dates.
Wyong Dog Training Club will provide 3 free dog training sessions http://wyongdogtrainingclub.org.au/ . So please be sure to utilise this awesome gift which will benefit both you and me.
Now that my vet work is complete, I'm ready to meet with potential adopters to see if we're right for each other. I'm in foster care at Bateau Bay on the Central Coast and waiting to meet you. Please feel free to bring along the whole family (furkids included).

Wally's Doggie Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
