About Marley ~ 2yo Terrier X girl (On Trial 25/4/16)
ON TRIAL - 25/4/16
Hi, my name is Marley! I am a two year old terrier X girl. I am an affectionate girl, I just love to be with my foster mum - I follow her around and sit with her when she watches TV. I love to snuggle so if you are looking for a cuddly dog then I am your girl.
I get along well with children and whilst in foster care have been playing with children aged from 4 to 10. I like to play fetch and tug of war. I am totally house trained, I will let you know when I need to go outside. I am such a good girl and have not had one accident since being in foster care.
I love my food and am a bit pudgy, so my foster mum has been walking me every day. I am very good on the lead. I walk along beside my foster doggy friends once the initial excitement of being on a walk settles. I need to wear a harness to walk and I may need a doggy coat in the cooler months too.
I have an easy care, low shed coat - just a wash when required. I don't like the bath much, but I just stand still and allow myself to be bathed. I require a brush every day, which I enjoy.
I love to sleep on the bed with my foster mum, but am also happy to sleep in a dog bed in another room. I am an inside dog, I must be allowed to have access to the indoors day and night. I am totally trustworthy and I have not been naughty when inside whilst my foster family is out.
I would best suit a family - a family with young children would be ideal. I would love to be an only dog because of the amount of love and affection I have to give. I am ok with being alone during the day so will be ok for a working family, but if someone is home most of the time that would suit me best. I will be ok if you have another small dog, but I must warn you I will try to get all the attention.
For more information or to meet Marley, please contact her foster carer Robyn on 0414 550 340. Marley is in foster care in Fennell Bay, NSW (Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Marley's adoption fee is $400 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
