About Bruiser
Give me a U!
Give me a T!
Give me a E!
What does that spell? UTE!
Bruiser is the ultimate ute dog. He adores to travel and he loves nothing more than to hang his head up high in the air and catch the air with both his silly ears and his mouth.
He is even the ultimate tradie dog, if someone is looking for a mans best friend then bruiser is your boy! He would suit this role perfectly as he is so human focused.
Since being in foster care, Bruiser has been living, socialising and adjusting to a large pack of forever changing dogs. He is living with a permanent pack of 9 medium- large dogs and has met small dogs, puppies and other medium- large dogs whilst in foster care who have since been adopted along the way. He has shown nothing but patience and love to all. Bruiser is more than happy to be an only dog though as he doesn't seem to pine for the other dogs. So he would be a great companion or family dog in the household. He is an excellent role model for the breed as well!
Bruiser is one of the most obedient and loyal dogs in foster care and really enjoys pleasing his foster family. He knows all his basic commands, is trained on and off the leash, crate trained, toilet trained and also has excellent recall. He is happy to sleep wherever a spot is available, be that outside or in the house. He really isn't fussy and doesn't make a stir or noise at night. He is a very quiet boy as well, and has rarely if at all been known to bark. Which is excellent for suburban households!
Bruiser has also met some young kids whilst in foster care and has shown nothing but love. Since he is so human focused, he can get a little excited and forget how strong he is. So a household with dog savvy kids is essential as he may unknowingly knock them over.
He is a hoot of fun as well, he adores everyone he meets and demands they pat and cuddle him. He has excellent manners and has shown no intolerances or aggression with toys or food around.
The only thing bruiser isn't too good with is cats and chickens. He is just a little too curious on these feathered and furred creatures. But if someone is willing to put in the time, patience and also effort to train him to be accustomed with such. We think he may be fine.
Bruiser is a moderately active boy and would do good in a household who enjoys walking or adventures. But he isn't too demanding on the exercise part so no worries there. He is just a beautiful loving natured boy who is awaiting that perfect home!
