About Oslo & Helsinki
Oslo and Helsinki are 6ish year old brothers who are looking for a forever home together.
Oslo is very affectionate and loves to be held, though he can be initially shy. Helsinki is a bit of a weirdo - I’m sorry, there’s just no way to sugar coat it! :P
Helsinki is very timid and took over a month to emerge from his hiding hole, when the cats arrived in care. Once he did though, a very unique personality emerged, as did several unusual quirks! Helsinki loves to lick things. Hands, feet, plastic, fabric, you name it, he’ll lick it!
As with several of our Persian 10, Helsinki has a condition called Pica, which is a compulsion to lick and or eat things that aren’t food. Helsinki’s Pica is the most pronounced of all of the cats, though thankfully, he doesn’t seem to ingest anything foreign, he just likes to lick!
Helsinki will need a very understanding home, that will give him the time he needs to adjust and will not rush him or push his boundaries too soon. While Helsinki is settling in though, Oslo will be more than happy to provide all the squishy love you require! Once he is settled and comfortable, Helsinki is affectionate and playful. It is likely though that no one his new owners know, will believe he exists, as he will retreat to hiding when company arrives and emerge when his world returns to ‘normal’ so he can resume his very important licking business! ;)
Both boys have very thick coats that require regular brushing and occasional tidy ups. Helsinki is currently in full coat, but his new owner will have the option of him being clipped prior to adoption, so his coat isn’t a concern while he’s settling in. Oslo’s eyes need regular wiping, though Helsinki’s are pretty good, and shouldn’t need attention while he’s settling in, at least.
The boys will need a quiet, mature, understanding home. They have such wonderful personalities; they just need someone that will give them the time to adjust to their new life. The boys are fine with other friendly cats and ok with calm dogs that respect their space.
Oslo and Helsinki are in care in Croydon
Medical notes
Oslo and Helsinki go to their new home desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and flea and worm treated, groomed and recently having had dental scale and polishes.
