About Minerva - In care in Newcastle!
Introducing the beautiful Minerva! aka Mini the smoocher or Min for short! Minerva is a petite, 8 year old Persian. She has come a long way since arriving in a very sad state, but she is totally fabulous now!
Mini has a beautiful, plush coat that will need regular grooming (even though she tries to do it all herself). At the moment, she is sporting a short hair do and has some spots that might take a little while to thicken up due to her fur being so matted and her pulling it out. But over the last few weeks she has been having supplements to get her skin and fur back to being gorgeous. She will require regular face cleaning due to the shape of her eyes and nose as she can't quite manage on her own. Currently she is living with a placid but eccentric Exotic Shorthair and dominant Russian Blue, so she is good with other cats, however it has taken her more time to get used to our Russian. She is still learning how to play with my pair without getting too boisterous, but loves a good chase around the house.
Foster mum and “Modern Squishies” journalist, Laura recently sat down with Min, for a chat over tea and tuna!
Laura: “So Min, everyone is so excited to hear you’re now ready to find a home! Tell the readers a little about the things you like?!
Min: “I like attention! If I'm not snoozing in my favourite bed (or yours) I will be following you around. Initially I am shy so It may take me a little while to adjust to you but I'm very sweet. I still get a little startled by loud noises, but I'm sure with time and attention I will be fine. I would love someone to lounge with as once I get comfy on your lap or next to you in bed I really don't want to move at all! Sometimes I pretend to be sleeping when you're trying to move me along... Hehe.
Basically I'm one big love bug waiting for someone to totally fall in love with me! Oh and did I mention that I love to play! "Thing on a stick" and the cat laser toy are definitely my all time favourites, I could skid around the floorboards for hours playing with them. I have plenty of energy that I love to burn off with a good play session.”
Laura: “You’ve clearly given a lot of thought to your forever home and what you’re looking for, which is great! Could you tell us a few of your turn offs?!”
Min: “What I'm not keen on.... Well I’m still working on face wipes and nail clipping. I'm also not keen on being held, but this could change as I become familiar with you.
What else… oh! Changing my food! As you know, Laura, when I arrived in care, I was very underweight and refused to eat any cat food and would only accept raw meat. Remember that? Fun times! It’s taken a very long time for me to get used to and like normal cat food. So if you want to change my food you'll need patience! Like all divas I will hold out for something better and I guarantee you’ll cave before I do! :P"
Laura: *nods* “Yes *laughs* we had a tough time getting you eating, didn’t we! Is there anything else you’d like your potential new family to know?”
Min: “Hmm… Oh! Yes! You getting up off the lounge when I've decided to sit on your lap! I will do my best to batter my adorable eyes at you so you feel bad.....and stay. You’ve been warned!”
Laura: “haha, yes You do get your own way!
So there you have it, readers, the full ‘A Minute with Min’, article will be in this month’s issue of Modern Squishy and our thanks to Mini for taking time out of her day to sit down with us for a chat!”
Mini comes complete with a squishy starter pack comprising of: her favourite bed for snoozing, a food bowl she can eat out of while keeping some food in the bowl, her favourite thing on a stick and her beauty regime (skin supplements to get her skin and fur back to gorgeous)!
Mini is in care in Newcastle.
Medical notes
Minerva goes to her new home desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, flea and worm treated and professionally groomed.
