About Ace
Ace is a beautiful boy who wants nothing more than to be with you.
Give him a cuddle and he thinks he is in heaven. He is just a big smooch.
This is his foster carers response when I asked her why she loves him: It's just his personality. He is so endearing. He is a big smooch and he just wants to be with you. Can't get mad at him for doing puppy things, he just looks at you with the sad, I'm sorry mum face. He is quiet, loves to play, is good with other dogs. He loves people and they love him. Which makes him easy to have around. He just wants to be loved and to love you in return. He's a special boy.
Ace is young and had no previous training. But, has been catching on quickly while here, he is eager to please and good with other dogs. He will need someone dedicated to regular obedience and socialisation to maintain and improve on that.
He pulls a little on lead. He is getting much better at not jumping. He will counter surf given the chance. Obedience, with positive reinforcement or food rewards is a must. He is only going to get stronger and possibly more challenging as he goes through his teens.
Ace needs a home where he can be inside with his humans and walked daily. He might like a young submissive female to play with, but no male dogs or cats, (no issues thus far but better to be safe than sorry).
Ace is a lovely young dog and a great example of his breeds best features. Many of us at Homeless hounds have wanted him in our lives because he is such a character!
Medical notes
Ace is desexed, microchipped and up to date with vaccinations and parasite control. He is in perfect health, complete with loose soft, abundant puppy skin!

How often will you have time to walk the dog? How long for? On lead or off lead?

If your enquiries isn’t about a specific dog or the one you have in mind isn’t suitable for you please tell us what you are looking for so that we may help you find your perfect pooch.
Will the dog have regular contact with children 5 years or under, elderly people, cats or livestock?
If you adopt this dog, how soon can you pick him\her up?
Is your yard securely fenced? Describe type of fencing (wooden, colorbond, wire etc) and height at the lowest point. If you live on acreage how will you restrain the dog when you are away? If you have a swimming pool is it separately fenced?
How do you plan to train your new dog? Will you take your new dog to obedience school or do you plan to train it yourself?
We will require the successful applicant to allow a yard check before adoption.
