About Miss Penelope
Miss Penelope (Penny to those who love her) is a people orientated little girl.
Her start in life hasn't been the best. She came into care after being taken to a local vet by SAPOL. Found left alone in a abandoned property without food and water, after her owners moved and left her alone in the house that was in terrible condition.
Due to being abandoned Penny craves human attention and sadly still cries when left alone. Since being in care we have found that she copes better with another friendly dog to hang out with. She loves human cuddles, will toddle off and play with the other dogs then come running back to check where here humans are.
She has been tested with small dogs and is perfect with them. She shows interest in cats but does not chase. She is also currently learning to be toilet trained.
Penny is coming along in leaps and bounds, and while she requires a special family that will take the time to gain her trust and provide her with the love and affection she needs, that family will be equally rewarded with undeniable adoration from Penny.

OUR ADOPTION PROCESS
1. You see a dog you like.
2. Fill in our online adoption form by clicking here or on our website. Be sure to include any questions you may have on our adoption form. This form does not obligate you to adopt, it simply gives us an idea of your situation and needs.

3. If your are successful, one of our volunteers will contact you to organise a meet and greet at your home and conduct a yard check at the same time.
4. Should all go to plan, you will be welcomed to start your 2 week trial period immediately. Adoption fee will be required to be paid at the beginning of the trial period.
During the 2 week trial period, should you decide that this dog is not for you, you are welcome to return the dog (the more notice the better, to ensure we have a foster carer available) and your payment will be retunded to you in full, within 3 business days of the return of the dog.

We are a volunteer run organisation, who have their own jobs during the day, we don't have someone manning our phones 24/7, therefore cannot respond to all inquiries immediately. The fastest way to have your questions answered is to include it in the application form. This will speed up your application with us, and help us communicate with you faster.
Please be patient with us, as the unpredictable nature of rescue may prevent us from clearing all enquiries regularly.
