About Reggie
Reggie is big boy, a 2 year old bull arab x ridgeback, who is the epitome of a gentle giant. He is so easy going and relaxed..the kind of dog you could easily take to cafes, to visit friends, or to other outings, all without any fuss.
Reggie loves people, and one of his favourite things to do is to rest his big head on your lap for a head pat and an ear scratch. He is also very kind, patient and accommodating with kids of all sizes. He doesn’t jump up or get scared easily, and would be well-behaved and loving with a young family just as he would with any loving environment!
He is currently fostered with two other dogs and loves to snuggle up with them at night and play with them during the day. He has met many other dogs and meets them all with the same patience and affection each time.
Reggie would love a home that would allow him to be inside and part of the family. He has very good house manners, putting himself to bed when he feels tired. He loves company throughout the day, so would get on well if he could be with other dogs or go to work with his owner.
He walks well on lead, and is very obedient, and it would be great if his training was continued. Reggie has some weakness in his back legs due to hip dysplasia, and this is currently being assessed.
Reggie has so much love to give and would make a wonderful companion.

Medical notes
Reggie has some hip issues.. So will require owners who are dedicated to keeping him in good condition, managing his condition appropriately and potentially organising rehabilitative procedures to give him optimal quality of life.
Adoption details
Please note that while we consider all applications in the order in which we receive them, our animals are not adopted out on a first come, first served basis. Our objective is to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable ‘forever’ home available to meet the animal's (and the person’s) characteristics and needs.
The final decision about which new home the animal goes to is made by the foster carer based on their knowledge and understanding of the potential home and the personality of the individual animal. Sometimes it may take several enquiries before you find the right RADAR furry friend for you!
We will need a non-refundable holding deposit of $50 minimum to hold a pet for you whilst awaiting everything to be finalised, however this amount is deducted from the adoption fee.
RADAR expects full payment on exchange of the pet or prior to it leaving on transport.
RADAR expects you to be responsible for transport costs. We can help source appropriate transport options or help find accommodation if you need to travel and stay overnight.
It is understood that if all goes wrong that you can return the pet safely and unharmed to RADAR for a full refund within one week of the adoption.
