About Lucy
Lovely Lucy is a very sweet loving girl and your typical active little foxy, no sitting for hours on end in the backyard for this little girl. Whilst she is very active you cannot help but fall under the charms of this delightful lady.
Ideally Lucy needs a new owner/family that are experienced with Foxy's and understand the breed or have had other energetic breeds.
Still very much a puppy, she is curious and enthusiastic about everything and everyone. She likes dogs but she loves people the most! Kids of 14 years old or more would be best suited in the home environment.
Lucy must have access to indoors at all times (not necessarily all areas) and must be permitted to sleep inside of a night - she would be great for agility, or for someone who likes jogging or any activity she can join in with, she's not fussy!
Lucy has had a training session and her trainer said she is very smart, food orientated, a quick learner and responds well to commands and is eager to please.
Whilst Lucy gets on well with other dogs when she is out and about, her carer believes that Lucy would be best suited as an only dog for the right owner/home environment. Lucy could go with another younger medium to large breed dog as long as he/she could keep up with her activity levels as she can be a bit much for quieter dogs in the home environment.
Her new owner will need to be able to make her part of their home and their lifestyle taking Lucy where and when they can, not leaving her home along for extended periods of time. We do know that people have to go out from time to time and Lucy is ok being left for shorter periods provided she has had her exercise.
Lucy travels well in the car and loves to go on adventures.
As she is still only a youngster, her new owner must be committed to continuing her training, exercise and stimulation keeping her outings to local doggy parks/beaches etc to continue her socialisation with others on a daily basis.
At present Lucy gets a morning and afternoon walk of at least 45mins each, with time to chase the ball and really stretch her legs and burn energy. Lucy could easily do more than this, however her new owner should be prepared for at least this amount of exercise particularly if there is no other dog in the home.
We do not believe cats or birds would be her favorite companions.
Lucy also travels well in the car and is friendly and happy girl who will make a wonderful addition to the right home.
