About Ollie ~ Chihuahua x Maltese (On Trial 1/5/16)
Ollie is a sweet natured 7 month old Chihuahua x Maltese boy, and he is on the lookout for his forever home.
Ollie can be shy when first meeting people, but his friendly, gentle nature soon shines through. Whilst he loves nothing more than to sit with you or supervise whatever you are doing, he also enjoys exploring outside and loves the company of another small dog.
Ollie is learning to walk well on the lead and it would be of benefit to continue his good progress with toilet training. Ollie doesn’t bark excessively but will let you know if someone is at the door. At bedtime he loves to sleep on his foster mum and dad’s bed.
Ollie loves company and would suit someone who is home most of the time and be allowed to be inside when his owners are home. He would be best suited to a house with no small children.
If you think you might have the perfect forever home for Ollie, please contact Nancy by phone on 0404 471525 or email ncalver22@gmail.com. Ollie is in foster care in Warners Bay NSW (20 minutes from Newcastle). He is not available for adoption interstate.
Ollies adoption fee is $500 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescue.com.au.
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
